Artist Statement

 

 I am a mixed media artist who enjoys working with fabric, metal, chain, acrylic, and mesh - materials that are pliable and easy to combine. There are gestural strokes that intertwine with disparate parts to define the space. Dimensionality in the work increases highlights and shadows giving added interest. Some of the works are free form and other are on board. There are no preconceived notions in the process, preferring a spontaneous approach. What is the work about? It’s about the rhythm of my feelings. It is about what it is I want to see.

 

I live and work in New York City having moved there from New Jersey three years ago.
